You’re invited to join a first of its kind “train-the trainer” conference in sexual and gender minority health care! Advancing Excellence in Sexual and Gender Minority Health Education: A Train-The-Trainer Course For All Healthcare Professionals will be held virtually Friday, March 25 to Sunday, March 27. Over the course of three days, attendees will collaborate with experts and a community of peers to discover best practices in delivering sexual and gender minority health education to colleagues and trainees in your healthcare organizations. In addition to the information on terminology, health disparities, and concepts of sexual and gender minority health, you’ll also learn how to lead effective trainings, advocate for systems and policy changes in your organization, and develop strategies for creating welcoming and affirming environments for your community and workforce.

Advancing Excellence in Sexual and Gender Minority Health Education: A Train-The-Trainer Course For All Healthcare Professionals is presented by the LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center at The Fenway Institute, Harvard Medical School, and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Registering healthcare organizations are encouraged to participate with key stakeholders from their health care teams who represent diverse roles and perspectives. Participants will have opportunities to further explore the topics by choosing breakout tracks such as “Achieving buy-in from leadership,” “Securing funding support,” “Creating an affirming clinical environment,” Creating an affirming educational environment,” “Developing effective IT processes,” and “Developing meaningful measures of effectiveness.”
