HMS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Research and Scholarship Committee

The HMS DEI Research and Scholarship Committee will have the following charge for its work:

Consistent with the HMS Better Together plan and utilizing the NIH NIMHD Research Framework as well as consideration of fundamental research, the DEI Research and Scholarship Committee will assess ongoing equity-related research at Harvard Medical School (HMS) to identify gaps, unmet needs, areas of excellence, and areas of opportunity.

The Committee will consult with HMS and HMS-affiliated researchers and faculty across ranks and institutions to identify the most pressing needs related to health equity research and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Based on its findings, the Committee will recommend priority areas for modification, new intervention, and sunsetting that lead to faculty success and retention as well as strengthen connections among diverse scholars and researchers.
